• 1. Can you tell us how long you’ve been with Redken?
  18 years!
• 2. What was your first position with the company?
  I started as a District Sales Educator, training and educating salons on Redken.
• 3. Can you describe what you do now?
  I oversee the Education Department, which includes salon training, education development, the artist network, production, shows and events.
• 4. Your schedule is packed! How do you stay energized?
  Good question! I really enjoy what I do, and I love spending time with the people around me–my colleagues, family and friends.
• 5. How has it felt to move up the ranks over the years?
  Honestly, I never thought about it– I’ve treated every position I’ve had as a learning and growing opportunity. I’ve always been fully committed to the job at hand, and I’ve strived for personal enjoyment and fulfillment. With that, new opportunities have presented themselves!
• 6. What’s it been like to see Shades EQ grow over the years?
  Wonderful! It’s such a valuable tool for colorists.
• 7. Colorists have trusted Shades EQ for the past 20 years–why is that?
  It just works! It’s fabulous, and it’s very forgiving.

  Education is only valuable if it helps improve the skills and abilities of the salon professional to support them in their working environment. Our personal-based approach to education allows us to customize and deliver education and training that’s relevant to every salon professional.
• 10. What do you personally love about Shades EQ?
  I love the shine and condition it gives my hair. It just makes you feel good!
• 11. Can you tell us what your Shades EQ formula is?
  1 1/2 oz. O9G Vanilla Creme and 1 1/2 oz. 09AA Papaya.
• 12. What’s another Shades EQ formula that you love?
  06A Bonfire and 06R Rocketfire. It’s a beautiful Irish Setter red–I actually wore it for years!
• 13. What advice would you give to colorists who are new to Shades EQ?
  Try it, use it and have fun with it. It won’t let you down!
• 14. What have colorists told you about Shades EQ over the years–are there any comments that have really stuck with you?
  They say there’s nothing else like it and they can’t live without it!
• 15. Is there a book, film or song you find particularly inspiring?
  The Alchemist by Paulo Cohelo. It’s a story about a boy searching for treasure. He finds out that his “treasures” were all the lessons he learned along his journey.
• 16. What would people be surprised to know about you?
  I have two small children, and I grew up learning how to bake and decorate cakes in my father’s bakery!
• 17. Why have you stayed devoted to your career at Redken?
  That’s easy–I love what I do. Being part of the education process is a very rewarding experience.

• 19. What’s the one Shades EQ shade you can’t live without?
  I’d have to say 09AA Papaya. It’s a great filler, toner and supplement to every color service. It’s tough to choose just one!

  09N Café Au Lait. It’s a classic!
