SECTIONING
- Separate top from bottom by taking a horseshoe-shaped parting that begins above the outer corner of the right eye and moves back, around the crown, and ends above the outer corner of the left eye. Clip the top out of the way. This is Section 4.
- Move to the back of the head. Create triangular sections by starting at the bottom hairline in the center and making a large zig-zag parting as shown. Start on the right side and duplicate on the left side for symmetry. Separate the triangles using clips. The triangles pointing up are Section 1; the inverted triangles pointing down are Section 2. Tip: At the sides, keep the inverted triangles 1/2-1 inch behind the hairline for a more natural effect. The hair at the hairline is Section 3.
APPLICATION
- Begin in the back with Section 1. Take down the triangle on the right side and apply Glaze Formula 1 from scalp to ends, using 1/4-inch sections for even saturation. When the triangle is complete, cover with foil to isolate. Move to the left side and repeat the application. Complete Section 1.
- Continue to Section 2, the inverted triangles. Apply Glaze Formula 2 in the same manner as before. Start in the back and work your way forward. Apply quickly from scalp to ends and cover with foil when complete. After covering Section 2 on the sides with foil, apply Glaze Formula 1 to Section 3. Keep the application back, away from the face. Complete both sides.
GLAZE
Apply Glaze Formula 1 to Section 4, the top, from scalp to ends. Make sure to apply the color thoroughly, ensuring consistent saturation, with a bowl and brush or a tint bottle. Process at room temperature for 20 minutes. Rinse, then shampoo and condition with Color Extend.
