RETOUCH APPLICATION
Use Retouch Formula 1 for a traditional Retouch Application. When complete, continue with the following Refresh Application.
REFRESH APPLICATION
- Starting at the nape, take a horizontal slice that’s approximately 2 inches above the hairline. Use your fingers to separate the hair into alternating triangular sections, with one triangle pointing up and the next down. Starting on the right, use a tint bottle to apply Refresh Formula 1 to Zones 2 and 3 (mid-shaft and ends). Do not cover with foil.
- Move to the next triangle (on the left) and apply Refresh Formula 2 to Zones 2 and 3 in the same manner as before. Continue to move to the left, alternating Refresh Formulas 1 and 2. When that row is complete, take another 2–inch horizontal section directly above. Separate into triangles and apply Refresh Formulas in the same manner, making sure to "bricklay" your application (placing alternating colors side-by-side, above and below one another). Tip: Label your tint bottles before beginning to keep them from getting mixed up.
- Continue to apply Refresh Formulas 1 and 2 in an alternating "bricklay" pattern to complete the entire head. Process at room temperature for 20 minutes. Rinse, then shampoo and condition with Color Extend.
